The Granite Club - Aquatics Complex Renovation

WHAT

The Granite Club Aquatic Complex Renovation

The Granite Club Aquatics Complex renovation involved upgrading key enclosure elements within an active recreational facility.

EinsA’s scope focused specifically on the patio door systems, introduced as part of a retrofit condition within a controlled indoor pool environment.

WHERE

Toronto, Canada

WHEN

2024 - Present

Our Role

EinsA supported the project through technical coordination, system alignment, and detailing of operable door assemblies, ensuring integration within the existing building conditions. The work required a clear understanding of how operable systems perform over time, particularly in environments exposed to elevated moisture and frequent use.

Scope of Work

  • Evaluation and alignment of patio door systems with project requirements

  • Coordination with adjacent building envelope components

  • Development of installation and interface detailing for retrofit conditions

  • Support during implementation to ensure constructability and performance alignment

Key Considerations

This project required careful attention to:

  • Moisture management at thresholds and transitions

  • Durability of materials and components in a demanding interior environment

  • Operational performance of frequently used door systems

  • Integration within an existing structure, where conditions required adaptation rather than standard solutions

Outcome

The patio door systems were successfully integrated into the project, supporting both functional use and long-term performance expectations. EinsA’s involvement helped ensure that the systems were not only aligned with the design intent, but also adapted to perform reliably within real operating conditions.

How This Reflects Our Approach

This project reflects EinsA’s focus on:

  • Bridging design intent and real-world execution

  • Supporting performance-driven decisions at the system level

  • Ensuring long-term functionality, not just initial installation
